Laurel Childhood Development Center

Scope of Work
Construction of a new 7,400-square-foot, wood-framed facility to house early childhood classrooms, administrative offices, restrooms, and daycare areas. The project featured heavy timber roof framing and exposed high ceilings. Scope included complete interior drywall installation and finishes, as well as the installation of architectural acoustic perforated panels at elevated ceiling locations.
Achieve Academy
Location
1700 28th Avenue, Oakland, CA
Scope of Work
Development of a new 25,000-square-foot, two-story wood-framed building comprising 20 spacious classrooms, administrative offices, restrooms, an elevator shaft, and multipurpose rooms. The structure included approximately 138 heavy timber glulam beams and TJI floor and ceiling joists, with a strong emphasis on structural integrity and design.
Lydiksen Elementary School
Location
7700 Highland Oaks Drive, Pleasanton, CA
Scope of Work
Renovation and structural upgrade of existing classrooms and administrative offices. Work included complete interior reframing with new shear walls and support beams. A new heavy timber sunshade structure was installed at the playground using 4’x40′ cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels, featuring exposed glulam elements. The project also included installation of new exterior siding throughout the existing buildings.
Madison Park Academy

400 Capistrano Drive, Oakland, CA
Scope of Work
Construction of a new high school campus consisting of four separate buildings, each approximately 6,500 square feet. The project utilized a hybrid of tilt-up concrete and metal stud exterior wall construction. All interior walls and the elevator shaft were framed with metal studs. Scope included installation of exterior sheathing, complete interior drywall and finishes, and hard-lid ceilings with integrated architectural elements.
Additional features included the installation of Nichiha exterior siding over rigid insulation with furred-out framing, designed with a dynamic, multicolor pattern. A windscreen façade and bold architectural lettering were installed to enhance the visual impact of the school’s main entrance.
